Daddy! How does that airplane stay up in the sky?”
That was Arjun’s big question one sunny afternoon.
And like always, Daddy Goutham had the perfect way to explain it—with a story, a few drawings, and lots of imagination.
Let’s fly into this fun conversation and explore how airplanes actually work… through the eyes of a 5-year-old!
The Big Question
Arjun: “Daddy! How does that airplane stay up in the sky?”
Goutham: “Ooh, great question! Let’s find out.”

This is how every adventure in learning begins—with a curious mind.
The Magic Is in the Wings
Goutham: “The wings are super important. When the plane goes fast, the air moves over the wings and lifts it up!”
Arjun: “Like magic wings?”

Airplane wings aren’t just for show. They’re designed to move air in a special way. That’s where the magic of lift begins.
The Air Helps It Fly
Goutham: “Air moves faster over the top of the wing and slower underneath. That difference pushes the plane up!”
Arjun: “So the air helps the plane fly?”

This invisible force is called lift—it’s like the air giving the airplane a big push upward!
The Engines Give It Power
Goutham: “The engines push the plane forward super fast. That helps the wings lift it!”
Arjun: “Like rocket speed!”

Engines don’t make the plane fly up, they make it move forward. The wings + speed = takeoff!
Up, Up, and Away!
Goutham: “So the wings, the air, and the engines… they all work together to make it fly!”
Arjun: “Now I want to be a pilot!”

And just like that, curiosity turned into a dream.
